How to Make the Puerto Rican Mami Dance AI Video From One or Two Photos

Two photos for the duo, one for the solo: the steps, what each length covers, and how to film the dance yourself if you’d rather do it for real.

Last updated: 2026-10-30

To make the Puerto Rican Mami dance AI video with your bestie, upload two separate photos, one person per photo: photo 1 starts on the left, photo 2 on the right, and you swap places during the routine. For the solo version, upload one photo. Sign in with Google, pick 6, 10 or 15 seconds, and you get a vertical 720p MP4 with the beat and no watermark.

By the generator’s estimate (not timed on this site yet) the full 15-second routine takes about 15 minutes to render, 10 seconds about 8½ and 6 seconds about 4½. You don’t have to keep the page open: the finished video is saved in your account.

How to Make It, Step by Step

  1. Pick your photos. Photo 1 is you; photo 2 is optional, your friend, partner or sibling. One person per photo, standing, whole body or at least down to the knees, facing the camera. JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC (iPhone photos are converted for you), up to 10 MB each. On a computer, each photo box has an “Upload from your phone” button: scan the QR code, send the photo from your phone and it drops into the box.
  2. Choose a length and make it. In the generator on the homepage, sign in with Google, tick the box confirming everyone in the photos agreed and is 18 or older, pick 6, 10 or 15 seconds and press the button. You’ll need credits from a pack for the length you pick.
  3. Download and post. When it’s ready, press Download (on iPhone it opens Save Video) or use the share-to-TikTok button. Every video is also saved in your account.

Which Length Should You Pick?

  • 15 seconds, 20 credits: the whole routine, start to finish, all six moves. This is the one that matches the original post.
  • 10 seconds, 13 credits: from the arms-out sway to the end.
  • 6 seconds, 6 credits: just the ending: the knee slap, the place swap, hands on the head and the lean-in finish.

Rough render times, as the generator estimates them: about 4½ minutes for 6 seconds, 8½ for 10 and 15 for 15. They haven’t been timed on this site yet, so give it a little extra.

One Photo or Two Photos: Solo and Duo Explained

  • Two photos give you the duo. The AI copies the original post by @_kenyaad and @brebre under a white canopy at night, filmed from a phone low on the ground. Photo 1 becomes the dancer who starts on the left, photo 2 the one who starts on the right, and you swap places mid-routine, like they do.
  • One photo gives you the solo version. The AI copies @ocztjay’s solo take in a school stairwell. Nobody from the original stays in your video.

Photo Tips for a Better Match

  • Full body, or at least down to the knees. The dance uses the whole body, so a face-only selfie leaves the AI guessing.
  • Face the camera, sharp and well lit. No sunglasses.
  • One person per photo. Put your friend in the second box instead of in the same picture.
  • Wear what you want to dance in. Each person keeps the clothes from their photo.
  • Don’t worry about the background. The place comes from the TikTok take, not from your photo.

Results vary: it’s AI, so faces, hands and moves can come out a little different from the original.

Other Ways to Make the Puerto Rican Mami Dance

Film it for real. You need a friend (or not, if you go solo), 15 seconds and a phone:

Use AI instead. No rehearsing, no tripod and no friend in the same room: two photos are enough for the duo. It costs credits (from $9.90 for one full video), and the result is AI, so it won’t be a perfect copy of you.

Photo-to-video AI or a video editor?

Choose Puerto Rican Mami AI when you have photos and want this specific dance without filming or learning the routine. One photo makes the solo version; two separate photos make the duo. No CapCut setup or prompt writing is required, and the downloaded video already includes the trend beat.

If you have already filmed your performance and want to trim clips, rearrange shots or combine scenes, a video editor may suit that task better.

How to Post It on TikTok

  • The video is already vertical 9:16 and already has the beat, so you can post it as it is.
  • The share-to-TikTok button copies a caption for you. Tags people use with this trend: #puertoricanmami, #duo, #bff and #2persondance.
  • Say it’s AI-generated: add #aivideo or turn on TikTok’s AI-generated content label.
  • If you’d rather post with the TikTok sound itself, add “original sound – Baby On The Track” and turn your clip’s own volume down so the beat doesn’t play twice.

Puerto Rican Mami AI Dance FAQ

Can I put my dog or cat in it?

You can upload a pet photo, and the AI is told to keep it a real animal dancing on its hind legs, but we can’t promise how it will look.

Does my friend need to be with me?

No. Each of you just needs a photo, and they don’t have to be taken in the same place: the background comes from the TikTok take.

Can I make it for free?

No. Signing in is free, but there are no free credits or free trial videos. Packs start at $9.90 for 20 credits, one full 15-second video, and credits never expire.

What happens if the video fails?

A failed render is retried once for free, and if it fails again your credits come back automatically. Not happy with a finished video? Email [email protected] and we’ll refund it.

Can I use a photo of a celebrity?

No. Only upload yourself, your pet, or people who agreed, all 18 or older. The AI’s content check refuses celebrity photos; when that happens there’s no retry and your credits come back.
